Chronology
2006 During that year, Miquel Gil have worked with several artists and musical groups:
Beniterrania. In TAMA Auditorium, Aldaia (l'Horta). Miquel Gil's voice mixed with Josep Aparisi "Apa" and Teresa Segarra voices, the master of the traditional musical genre "cant valencià d'estil".
Spring Heel Jack + Spyros Kaniaris. Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB). A test of contemporary improvised music.
Al Tall. Algemesí (la Ribera). Show "envit a vares", some guests from different musical disciplines improvise taking as a starting point the orally transmitted music in Valence.
Homage to Ovidi Montllor. Mercat de les flors, Barcelona. Pascal Comelade and Miquel Gil play in a live concert the song "Homenatge a Teresa" that they have recorded together.
Homage to Ovidi Montllor. Palau de la música, Barcelona. Miquel Gil plays an a capella version of "cançó de llaurador", and "Homenatge a Teresa" together with Gusmà Gil, Cristobal Rentero and Lídia Pujol.
Senglar Rock and FolkaSerra Festivals. The musical group "Sva-ters" and Miquel's band, cover Miquel Gil's songs.
Athens and Torroella de Montgrí. Savina Yannatou and Miquel Gil play together again.

He received two awards in 2006:
Award Ovidi Montllor for the best record and musical arrangements for the disc "Katà"
Award Muixeranga, for the best musician of Catalan Lands.

2005
He collaborates with the cantaor Miguel Poveda in his new CD, recording
the song "Boca seca" with Dimitri Psonis and Poveda's himself.
Together with Pascal Comelade he records Ovidi Montllor's "Homenatge
a Teresa" included in a DVD to pay homage to this author, edited
by the magazine "Folc".
He collaborates with Sol Picó, who will dance with Miquel Gil's
voice and music. She has created the choreography for the tenth anniversary
of a TVE3 show called "Nydia".
Miquel participates in the direct recording in of the DVD "A country in movement. Obrint pas " with the guitarist Borja Penalva.
He interprets the summer syntony of the network TV3/televisió de Catalunya, a fragment of the song of J.M. Cassany "I am Mediterranean. Seguridad Social". He also composes the syntony and the soundtrack of the program "Passengers. TV3", and in the same program performs with Soledad Jiménez the song" Words of love. J.M. Serrat".
He participates at the festival "Rudolstadt'05" which takes place at the German town with the same name, at Festival Grec in Barcelona (Spain) with the performance Notícies del regne de Mallorques, at Bayerischer off in Munich (Germany); at Itinerari Folk in Trento and at Festival de musica popolare a Rovigo (Italy); at Le Mounede and at Festival Occitania in Toulouse, at Centre des Musiques et Danses traditionnelles des Pyrénées Orientales in Perpignan and i at Festival Querencias in Ceret (França).
At Festival Altaveu, in Sant Boi de Llobregat, he performs with Martirio and the band Son de la Frontera, group to which belongs the guitarist Raul Rodriguez, as guest artists.
He performs at the festival BAM in Barcelona with Mohamed Soulimane and the singer Ayoub Bout of the Orquestra àrab of Barcelona as guest artists.
With the singers Javier Muguruza and Narf, he tours the performance "Coffees of the world".
Miquel performs as guest artist in Womex'05 fair which takes place at The Sage Gateshead in Newcastle (UK).
It is perform for the first time "Parea", designed for the openning of the Fira Mediterrània in Manresa with the presence, among others, as a guest artist, of the singer Savina Yannatou and "Primavera en Salonico"; the act is filmed to be published in DVD.
In December he travels to Chefchauen (Morocco) to work with Rahom Bakkali, Mohamed Afgalo and the group of music Hadra of Chefchauen, and there are made the first recordings for the new CD which is being preparing with the provisional title of "Parea", taken from the text with the same title, gift of Manoulis .
Throughout year 2005 he obtains the following awards:

2004
Recording of the CD Katà, at Oscar Roig's studio, with Miquel Gil
and Oscar Roig's own production and edited by Galileo Music Communication.
He works together with the musicians Raúl Rodríguez, Xavi
Lozano (Tactequeté), Eduard Iniesta and Eduard Navarro.
The CD coming-out is done at the Espai de Barcelona, and the concert is
recorded by RNE-R3 and TV3.
The coming-out in Valencia is done at the "Loco Mateo".
They participate in the Ressons Catalunya Tour.
Katà comes into the "World music charts Europe" in prime
positions in April and May, and also in the year summary.
They perform more than 40 concerts in different places like Madrid, Huesca,
Alicante, Ciutat de Palma, La Seu d'Urgell, Terrassa, Gandia, Valencia's
Bullring and at the Summer University of Prada de Conflent.
His activity in foreign countries is increasing with performances in England,
Mexico, Germany, Italy and France.
It's performed the concert "Som de Mar", for the "Festival
Internacional de Torroella de Montgrí", with Joventuts Musicals
de Catalunya production and the participation of "Coral Sant Esteve
de Castellar del Vallès", Lídia Pujol, "Psàlite",
"Esbart Ciutat Comtal" and "Gog i magog".
He takes part in the cultural embassy going to the "Fira internacional
del llibre de Guadalajara" (Mexico).
He does a perfomance in the literary awards "Premis Santa Llúcia"
organized by Òmnium Cultural.
2003
He plays 30 gigs with Orgànic around many places from the Catalan
countries: Eivissa, Andorra, Tarragona, Benicàssim, Catarroja...
Tours around Italy and France.
The "Factoria Mascaró" dances the song "L'amor és
déu en barca" in the festival organized by the foundation
"CIÈNCIA I ART" directed by Dr. Jaume Rosset.
He does performances in summer massive festivals like "Senglar Rock"
in Montblanc, "Rebrot" in Berga, and in Vic's Main Square.
He participates in the Tour "Acústic" organized by the
ACIC.
He shares a performance with the bands "Pomada" and "Música
nostra" with songs by the three of them.
Together with Lídia Pujol and the band "Psàlite"
they produce the concert and the record Terregada.
He takes part in the "Taller de músics de Barcelona"
production: Cante el plaer de viure.
2002
Recording of the CD Orgànic, with Efrén López, Toni
Xuclà and Miquel Gil's own production, mixed by Òscar Roig
and Miquel Gil, edited by Sonifolk.
The CD coming-out is done at the "Espai de Barcelona" in February,
the concert is recorded and broadcasted by TV3 and RNE-R3.
In Valencia city the work is performed in the theatre "El Micalet".
The tour "Artistas en Ruta" from AIE take them to cities like
Lugo, Madrid, Balboa (León), Donosti and Saragossa.
The concert is recorded by TVE for the musical show "Conciertos de
Radio3" and for Radio3.
The tour with "Joventuts musicals de Catalunya" take them to
towns like Torrelles de Llobregat or Torroella de Montgrí, and
to cities like Majorca, Murcia, Dènia, Cardedeu...
2001
Together with Lluís Puig (Vesc) they begin the Orgànic concert
production. The concert is performed at the FIMPT (Festival Internacional
de Música Popular i Tradicional) de Vilanova i la Geltrú,
at the "Mercat de Música Viva de Vic", in Puçol,
and at the "Fira d'espectacles d'arrel tradicional a Manresa".
The results of those performances were much better than expected because
of the audience and critics good answer.
2000
Together with "Al tall" on the occasion of the band's 25th anniversary
they perform their works at the Plaça de la catedral, from Barcelona,
"Auditori de Torrent", "Auditori de Vila-Real", in
Gandia and Llíria.
On the same occasion he sings with the symphony band "Primitiva de
Llíria", "La Unió musical de Torrent" and
also with the brass band from the "Conservatori superior de música
de Castelló" amongst others.
1999
With the song "Desesperao" included in the compilation "A
Mediterranean Odissey", edited by Putumayo Records, he climbs to
number one of the chart "The Weekly Nationally Syndicated Radio Program",
elaborated by more than seventy radio stations from all around the United
States.
He collaborates together with Mª del Mar Bonet and "Al tall"
in the recording of the song "La ploma de perdiu" for the record
Cavall de foc.
He participates in the "Festival Tradicionàrius de Barcelona"
together with the "Nova Euterpe" band, conducted by the musicologist
Jaume Ayats.
He participates in the "Festival flamenc de València"
at the "Palau de la Música de València" and in
the "Festival de música ètnica i mestissa d'Elx".
1998
He coordinates the folk section for the collective concert"Salvem
el Botànic", that takes place at the "Teatre principal
de València".
He performs his works in the radio station Cadena SER-Hora 25, broadcasting
live from the "Aula de cultura de la CAM d'Alacant", on the
75th radio station aniversary.
He performs at the "FNAC" and at the "Black note"
from València.
He performs broadcasting live in several editions of the radio station
Cadena Dial, Super-1.
1997
He composes the video soundtrack "Salvem el Botànic".
He composes and performs music for the Valencia CF with the group "Xampinyo's
league"
He peforms at "Sala Roxy", "Black Note", "Sonora",

Together with Xevi López, Paco Bernal and Ricardo Esteve they write
the new songs. Vicente Sabater helps them occasionally. Is the beginning

"Terminal Sur" second work will never be recorded, but one of
their songs "Aceituna" will be included in the record Furia
latina from the band "Seguridad social".
Miquel Gil goes on making music by request and working on audio-visual

Miquel Gil makes music by request and dubbing production and direction.
"Terminal Sur" seems to slowly fade away.
Gil collaborates with José Manuel Casañ and his band "Seguridad
Social" in the recording of Que no se extinga la llama, produced
by Vicente Sabater.
1989
They make a performance in Marsella and at the "Albereda de València"
in the presence of nearly 300.000 spectators. They represent Spain at
the "Biennal de joves creadors de l'Europa mediterrània".
They collaborate in the record Un poc de Rock together with Remigi Palmero,
Víctor Baxter, "Seguridad Social", and many others.
1988
With the name "Terminal Sur" they record again some of the songs
included in their last work together with other new songs, edited by the
record company PDI. They play at "Elíjeme" in Madrid,
at the "Welcome party" of the University of Valencia, at the
"Festes majors d'Elx" and at the Main Square in Madrid.
1987
"Terminal Sur" records El Viajero.
They record at RTVE (Estudio música-2) for three months the record
included in the award.
They play at the Main Square of Madrid at the "San Isidro festival".
In Barcelona they present the band at the "Sala KGB".
They play for different televisions and radio stations
1986
New record with "Al tall" and "Muluk el hwa": Xarq
al-andalus. People starts talking about ethnic music, fusion, musical
computing, samplers...
Miquel Gil leaves "Al tall", he wants to do research and to
transgress. The Mediterranian is not a frontier or a limit, is a melting
point.
Doing the multidiscipline project "Mare Internum" he meets
Vicent Sabater, together they will set up the band "Terminal Sur".
As a "cantaor" of the "free Mediterranian songs"
he takes part in different festivals sharing stage with Manuel Luna or
Jan Maria Carlotti.
As a "flamenco cantaor" he collaborates with Ricardo Esteve
and the band "Salpicao".
He competes in the music open competition "Encuentros de canción
para jóvenes intérpretes" in Jaén, organized
by the Ministry of Culture, and wins the first award.
This festival is the starting point of his second project: "Terminal
Sur".
Together with Salva Ortiz, Maribel Crespo, Pepe Cantó, José
Godofredo and Alfonso Sabater's complicity they set up a band with a blend
of Mediterranean sound and a format and a sonorous texture close to the
"etno-pop". They mix lutes and bouzukis with computer sequences,
and drums with latin percussions
1985

The band promotes the set up of a parallel group "Ball a banda",
dance music with traditional rhythms performed by brass band.
